Aid For Friends' mission is to serve needy, isolated shut-ins, primarily the frail elderly, in the 5 county Greater Philadelphia area, with free daily home-cooked meals delivered weekly by empathetic volunteer visitors, and also to provide shut-ins with free out reach services. The goal is to help our homebound "client/friends" maintain their cherished independence by supporting their determination to remain in their own homes for as long as possible and to enhance their quality of life.

At Living Word we cook on average 120 meals a month. If you would like to help cook or prepare meals please check our Announcements page for day and time. If you have questions about Aid For Friends, please send an email to Herb.

There are many who can not attend church with us on Sunday mornings. So, Living Word needs to go to them. With the help of Hometouch, a program that specializes in reaching out to those who are homebound, we can more effectively share Christ with them.
Here’s how it works. Each Sunday, Hometouch provides a two-page publication: a devotional message that is based upon the Sunday morning lessons, as well as an activity page of games, puzzles, and bible readings. These two pages, along with our Sunday Bulletin, and a copy of the Pastor's sermon would be mailed to anyone who might benefit from this service.  If you know of anyone who would benefit from this service please email their name and address to Phil Simon in the Living Word office

Relay for Life is one of of largest ministries here at Living Word. Cancer has touched the lives of many of our members and we feel called to come together and raise money for a cure. Please check our team page, and register by clicking here: RELAY
